How do I make an appointment?
How much does each session cost?
Please refer to our latest price list .
Who is responsible for payment?
As a private patient, you are personally responsible for your account and your bill must be settled at the time of your appointment. You may be able to claim the cost back from your medical insurance. We do not bill medical insurance schemes directly.
If you have a WorkSafe BC claim number or an ICBC claim number, they will be responsible for the account as we have service contracts with both WorkSafe BC and ICBC.
MSP patients are eligible for 10 subsidised sessions per year and pensioner discount – please see our latest price list for details.
Do I need a referral from my family doctor for physiotherapy?
As a private patient you usually don’t need a referral from your doctor, but some medical insurance companies may require a referral letter.
ICBC claims will require a referral letter and case number but WorkSafe BC claims only needs a claim number.
Will I feel immediate relief after my first session?
It’s not unusual to feel slightly tender or even bruised after each session before you start to feel better, but your physiotherapist will explain this during your appointment.
In that case, how many appointments will I need?
Everyone’s injuries and conditions are different and therefore every person is assessed and treated individually. On your first visit to Williams Lake Physio, one of our physiotherapists will conduct a thorough assessment to determine the extent of your injury or problem and decide on an appropriate, personalised treatment plan.
Please note that the length of your treatment plan will depend on the extent to which you actively participate in your own treatment, for example by doing prescribed exercises at home between appointments. We find that a positive outlook can also often help to accelerate healing or rehabilitation.
Will I need to exercise at home?
Yes! Usually you will be given a home exercise programme that will help you heal faster make you and become stronger. Following your exercise programme is vital to the success of any physiotherapy treatment.
Williams Lake Physio sells a range of quality home-exercise accessories that you may find useful.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to postpone or cancel a scheduled appointment, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours in advance, or for which you do not attend, will be charged a $70.00 no-show fee.
This is to ensure that all patients have optimum access to the Williams Lake Physio team.
